Hey everyone! Last week I took my monthly trip to Ulta and brought back some goodies! I have a problem, I really do. Haha. So many things I want to try, so I obviously had to get them!
TooFaced Chocolate Bar Pallet $49
NYX Jumbo Eye pencil in Milk$5
NYX concealer $6
Essie Nail Polish in "I'm addicted" $8
I Also received TooFaced new bronzer in Medium Chocolate as a free gift! Winning!
I bought the Chocolate Bar Pallet because I've seen it used in so many YouTube videos. Plus, I can never have to many pallets! I love this pallet because it has a lot of matte neutral browns, which I've been having a hard time finding the perfect combination of browns until now! Plus, each of the individual pallets smell like chocolate, hence the name! I'm definitely glad I purchased this, and can't wait to play with it more!
I purchased the NYX Jumbo pencil in MILK to line my water line on my bottom lid. It goes on so smooth and it makes everything pops and lasts all day! You can use it as a base on your eyelids to make your color pop or even as a highlighter for your brow bone. Keep in mind, a lot goes a long way, so you can just dab it on your finger then apply to lid.
I was then in search of a concealer comparable to MAC. And to also use as a highlighter...and sadly was not impressed by this concealer:( Now it'll just sit in my drawer. ..bummer.
Essie carries such a huge variety of amazing nail colors and I just want to try them all! I tend to stay with pinks and nudes but decided to stray away. I bought the I'm Addicted part of the summer neon collection and I love it!! It is such a popping color. I was very pleased with this purchase.
I was really excited to try TooFace new bronzer. It smells amazing! Sounds weird I know, but just like their pallet, its infusedr with cocoa powder! I've been using this for contouring instead of My Sculpted Face pallet from It Cosmetics. It's becoming a favorite!
I was very happy with my purchase on Tuesday, but there were a few more things I wanted to try, especially after being let down with my NYX concealer. So the next day, my friend I were at the mall, so I couldn't resist going in. Especially knowing I had almost 700 points on rewards points I could use. So my second purchased consisted of:
Essie " In the Cab-bana" $8
Urban Decay Ink For Eyes $20
NYX HD Eye Primer $7
NYX Above and Beyond Concealer$5
Urban Decay Ink For Eyes $20
NYX HD Eye Primer $7
NYX Above and Beyond Concealer$5
I loved my first blue shade purchase from Essie that I decided to give another one I try! In The Cab-bana isn't as vibrant as Im Addicted but I still love it!
I LOVE my Urban Decay eyeliner. Its a felt tip that gives you a perfect, flawless line every time. Itsr perfect for a wing eyeliner look!
I saw the NYX HD Eye Primer in another YouTube video and wanted to give it a try, but once again, it was a huge let down. It was a creamy base, easy to apply, but it never dried! Leaving my eyeshadow vibrar in some spots instear of my whole eye. I think I'll stick with my Urban Decay Primer Potion.
After being disappointed with my first concealer, I decided to give NYX another chance and I picked up their above&Beyond Concealer. I do NOT like it as a concealer, but I am okay with using it as a highlighter. So I guess it wasn't a total loss. I may have to just bite the bullet and go to Mac.
So the total of this haul was around $50, but I had almost 700 points and ended up paying around 20$ so such a steal! I pretty much got my Urban decay eyeliner for free which I was stoked about!
While having the points was nice, knowing I spent almost $700 at Ulta since last July makes me think I need a new hobby.....or that the makeup store should be further away.......nahhhh..
