Last Minute Halloween Makeup-DIY

Hello beautiful people and Happy Halloween! If you're like me, you don't feel the need to spend tons of money on a halloween costume.  And halloween came up so fast this year and in between my sister expecting a baby and my mom and I purchasing a salon, I didnt event have time to think of a costume. So I went on pinterest this morning, looked up halloween face painting,  picked one,  and went to town on it. I didn't even have halloween makeup, I used all my own makeup!
So here is how I put this look together in a half hour (if that)

Step 1: I primed my face and then put on my regualr foundation.  I then did highlighting and contouring like I normally would,  using Loreal True Match concealer and Maybelline Fit Me stick in 350. I took my Jumbo NYX Pen in Milk and highlighted aroubd my eye, nose, and mouth.

Step 2:
I used Mary Kay gel eyeliner and my NYX liquid liner to make the spots. (Most eyeliners will work)
I also used the gel liner to line my eyes and to make my nose

Step 3: I used my Maybelline Matte in Devine Wine for my lips. And Rimmel Exaggerate in Obsessed for my lip liner.
Dark lips work well for this look.

Its ok to exaggerate the highlighting and contouring. I mean it is Halloween. I only did half of my face like this, and did more natural makeup on the other side with some cheetah print to accent my brow bone

most importantly,  when you're finished, make sure you powder your face for a long lasting finish!
For the rest of my look I just wore all black today because well, I'm a cosmetologist and I can.
I hope I helped you guys out a bit! Get creative without spending a ton!

Have a fun and safe holidy!

Breakup With Blackheads

I don't know about you lovely people, but the pores on my nose demand something strong and some serious attention. This past Spring, Biore introduced two new Deep Cleansing Pore Strips one of which is the Ultra Deep formula which contains Witch Hazel and Tea Tree Oils to suck out those nasties that get deeply embedded into the pores of your nose.
Do they work?
Oh hell yeah.

Not only do they pull out dirt and what not, they actually EXTRACT blackheads and whiteheads out of your nose. If you have read any of my previous posts about GlamGlow, you know that as a mask, it  does the same and you also know that i struggle with my pores on and around my nose. These strips are different. They solely focus on your nose. You place the strip on a wet nose, and wait for 8-10 minutes. You then rip the strip off and you can LITERALLY SEE the stubs of dirt and black heads sticking to the strips. I took a few pictures so you can kind of see.

I used to use these strips 2-3 times a week, but now that I finally have my pores under control, I'm down to using them about once a week. When I first started using these strips, the amount of gunk that came out of my nose, was seriously disgusting.
but as you can see what a difference it has made!

You can purchase these strips for $7.99 at most stores such as: Target, Shopko, WalMart,Walgreens etc

This is a product that I can continue to repurchase because I know that it's working. I can't wait to try on my boyfriend's face and see how much junk I can get out of his face!

Divine Wine Matte Lips- First Impression

Hey everyone! I hope everyone is having a super fantastic fall! I know I am!
In one of my recent posts, I had just gone on a Lipstick Haul in search of the new Maybelline Matte lipsticks and I came home with 1 out of the 2 I wanted. I did get my hands on Darling Nude but was still missing Devine Wine out of my collection. Almost every Target I looked out they were all out of this color!!! But I FINALLY got my hands on it!
I have been stepping out of my box a bit, and wearing more and more of the dark lips. And with it being fall, and holidays coming up, I believe dark lips are perfectly acceptable! Sooo shall we see it?!

This is what the lipstick looks like in with it's packaging. SO pretty. I paid 5.49 for this beaut.

So this is what it looked like when i put it on as soon as I got it. I was really kind of iffy about it and its color. But i decided to play around with it.

After playing with it, I have to say I'm in love. It truly is the perfect color for fall! I purchased Rimmel Exagerate Lip Liner in Obsessed to accompany it. I felt that those two go together perfectly. As you can see, I kept my eye makeup simple while wearing this lipstick. I did this because I really wanted the attention to be on my lips, not a bunch of different spots on my face. So I used NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk on my lid with NYX liquid liner. I felt as though I had a flawless face with this look.

I did eat and drink through my 10 hour work day, and only had to touch up my lips one time! So it really does last a long time. I do recommend exfoliating your lips before applying any matte lipsticks!
I just love it. I encourage you all to step out of your comfort zone and try something new, like red lips! Seriously, you won't go back!

Have you tried this lipstick?! What are your thoughts? Do you have a favorite lipstick? I'd love to hear from you guys!

Boots No. 7- My two go-to products

Hey everyone! Just throwing out tons of blogs for you guys before I forget what to write about and get writer's block all over again!

I wanted to share with you two products that I have been using for the last month or two because they have been making such a noticable difference in my beauty routine. So beside my normal cleansing routine which I have shared with all of you in a previous post ( Click here to read), I have incorporated these two Boots No. 7 products::

Protect& Perfect Serum and Total Renewal  Micro-Dermabrasion Exfoliator.
Both of these products were recommended by my boyfriend's sister (gosh, she's so hopeful if you haven't noticed! annnd it's her birthday!) She actually purchased the Protect&Perfect serum for me because she swore by it, and I can see why, So shall we see what these products have to offer?!

Boots No.7 Protect& Perfect Serum;

  • Hypo-allergenic formula works to renew your complexion
  • Light and non-greasy
  • Instantly softens and smoothes skin; in 4 weeks, pore and wrinkle appearance is reduced
  • Antioxidant and skin-firming pro-retinol maintains skin elasticity
  • Fragrance-free, dermatologist tested;
I have been using this product since around July and I love it. I know that if I forget to apply it, my skin just doesn't feel the same. I apply this daily after my face cleansing, and before my moisturizer. It literally leaves my skin glowing and makes me feel confident without any makeup on. No moisturizer  will ever do just that, so Boots gives you the extra step you're missing! Also, if you read the reviews, it really does wonders for wrinkles! The best part? You can purchase this at Target for $15.79! Click here to order online!

Total Renewal  Micro-Dermabrasion Exfoliator

  • The effective, dermatological properties of micro-dermabrasion treatment in an exfoliator you can use at home
  • Aluminum oxide micro-crystals refine and renew, sweeping away dull cells for incredible radiance from the first time you use it; can also help improve the appearance of blemish-prone skin
  • Fine lines are visibly reduced, skin tone becomes more even and areas of darker skin fade; skin feels super soft and noticeably smoother within 4 treatments
  • Hypo-allergenic; for all skin types

I love this exfoliator because when you think Exfoliant, you think big, beady, grainy wash. This is not that, at all. It's not rough, it doesn't tear apart my face while using, and im not left with tiny grains all over my face. I use this product every other day and you can just feel the difference. I don't think I could ever switch to another exfoliator. And a little goes a long way!  I cannot say enough great things about this. It will make your skin velvety soft and lucious. It's truly like a spa treatment at home! If you check out reviews, this product is highly rated with a 4.8! How can you go wrong?! This is also found at Target for $12. Click here to order online

I have literally been asked if I have been doing something different to my face and I honestly believe it's because of these two products. I will continue to repurchase over and over again because I know that it's working!

Has anyone else tried these products? If so, what did you think?
If you want to try these products, I would love to here feedback!

First Impressions Maybelline Lipsticks.

Hey everyone!  Yesterday I went on the hunt for the new Maybelline Matte Lipsticks.  I wanted Darling Nude and Devine Wine. Target was the only store I found that carried the new mattes, and sad story-they were out of Divine Wine :,(
I did get Darling Nude and I have to say I am very impressed with this new lipstick.  It's very well pigmented and seems to do a good job of "long-lasting". I did eat and drink while wearing this  and it seemed to hold up for me.I only had to touch up once in the day. I love this lipstick and this color. I can't wait to get my hands on the Divine Wine.
I also picked up two other Maybelline lipsticks. Perfect Plum & Red Rivival.  Perfect fall colors I thought. Here are the swatches.
PERFECT PLUM
RED RIVIVAL
DARLING NUDE
(OhhhEmmGee...don't mind my tips.. I didnt twist them down and they got smudged. Sad face:( )

So yes, as you can tell they are great pigmentation and slide on amazing. I do use NYX lip primer to cut creasing down on my lips when I wear lipstick.  I picked up these lipsticks for like $5.49-5.99

Wearing Perfect Plum

Wearing Red Rivival

I also picked up two new lipliners.
I picked up a purple one from Maybelline to go with the Perfect Plum

And Splendid from Cover Girl to wear with my nude lipsticks .

Here are those swatches:

Now that its officially fall I am super soaked to be wearing all these beautiful lip colors!  I think I'll be ordering Devine Wine online... I Neeeeeeed it!!!

Have a wonderful Tuesday loves!

Bath and Body Works Haul!

Hello everybody! Happy Monday, and also Happy First day of Fall! Did I mention that fall is my all time favorite season?! Boots, leggings, scarves, pretty leaves, pumpkin spice lattes,  and CANDLES! Yes, yes, you can burn candles all year round, however they don't sell the pretty fall ones all year round.
I'll be honest,  I've never done a B&B haul before, but I just couldn't resist. Their big Three-Wick candles were on sale 2 for $22 (a total savings of $23) and their mason jar candles were on sale 2 for $20 (normally $13 each). So my boyfriend and I smelt pretty much every PUMPKIN candle they had, and we both Loved Loved Loved this one:

  • Satisfy your sweet tooth with the scent of a freshly baked pumpkin cupcake smothered in rich buttercream frosting

The next one we picked up was Sweater Weather. We actually purchased this one for his sister's birthday.  The name is what drew me in and then I smelt it and I was like we have to get it! So we bought one for Liz, and a mason jar sized one for
ourselves.
  • Cuddle up with an aromatic blend of eucalyptus, juniper berry and fresh sage that celebrates the arrival of crisp autumn breezes
And actually. ..I wanted another Pumpkin Cupcake but they didn't carry in the mason jars:( I have burnt this one constantly since I brought it home.

So there it is...my first ever candle haul. I think this should get me through fall (;
