Must Have Products For This Winter!

Hey everyone! Happy Wednesday! Since Winter has already come along here in Wisconsin, I'm sure a lot of you have notice changes to your hair and skin, and if you haven't yet, you will. So I put together a list of some of my MUST HAVES to get me through Winter and  I recommend these products to everyone! Enjoy!

1, Cetaphil Moisturizer
This has become a necessity for me. I use it daily on my face. But it's not just for your face. you can use it all over your body. It comes in a big round container for about $10 at drugstores. Winter dries out your skin, and this is just the cure for that!

2.Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Shampoo
This shampoo is made for dry scalps. I have psoriasis on my scalp and they act up when the seasons change, especially in the winter because it's so dry. Tea Tree leaves a cool tingly feeling after using. You can tell that it worked. It usually only takes 1-2 shampoos for me to notice a difference. Most salons carry this product

3.Dry Shampoo
Dry shampoo is a must in the Winter. It goes back to the whole dry scalp thing. Washing your hair everyday strips the hair/scalp of natural oils, leaving you with what? Yes, a dry scalp. So make dry shampoo your best friend!

4.Body Scrub
Using a body scrub/exfoliator 2-3 times a week followed by a moisturizer is going to keep your skin in tip-top glowing shape for the winter. I personally love St.Ives. You can buy their body scrub at most drugstores for$6 or so.

5. Carmex

The best product you could have for curing and preventing chapped lips. I apply this every night before bed.  And you can pick up a pack of 3 for around $5 and they last a long time!

6. Paul Mitchell Super Skinny
This is my absolute favorite hair serum. A dime sized pump leaves my hair felling great, looking smooth and shiny, and it smells great! This product is wonderful for winter because it mends any dry ends together! You can purchase this product at most salons

.7. Jergens Natural Glow Self-Tanner
Save your money and your skin by purchasing a self tanner! This is my must-have self tanner. It does a great job of gradually tanning the skin while also moisturizing. You can't go wrong for only $8!

8. Olay Pro X Brush
This is actually my must have for all year round. But if you haven't purchased one yet, you should consider it doing it for the winter season. This brush will do wonders for the skin on your face. It will work with all your face washes and exfoliators to keep your face glowing this winter. I cannot express how much I love this product.

9. Neutrogena Hydrating Makeup Wipes
Makeup wipes in general are a must have. But for the winter, I love the Neutrogena wipes that are also hydrating. They take my makeup off and moisturize at the same time.Winning.

So there it is. My Must Haves for winter. I'm not sure my my skin and hair would make it through the winter without these products!
I'm hoping to do a video on these products because I can easily show you guys through a video more about these products and why I love them .

What are your must haves for winter? Have you  tried these products?
I want your feed back!

Beauty Scenarios!

Happy Wednesday you beautiful people!

So I came acros a tag of beauty scenarios Q&A and I thought it'd be a fun little blog!
*You have to get rid of all your foundations and you can only keep one high end and one drugstore, which do you keep?
Yikes! I have about a million and two foundations... for high end, I think, without a doubt my winner would be Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation. .and for drugstore, my Revlon ColorStay liquid foundation.
*You go in for an interview and the lady interviewing you has lipstick on her teeth. Do you approach the subject or ignore it completely?
If that was me I would want someone to tell me. Its happened to me before and people have pointed it out, yes I was kind of embarrassed but not as embarrassed as going into the bathroom and wondering how long it's been there!  I feel like the person will respect you more for saying something rather than ignoring it such a thing.
*You're not feeling yourself and need a pick me up. Which lipstick do you put on to your make yourself feel beautiful?
If I had to go with a lipstick...I'd choose Wet N Wild Fergie on the Daily. I have always been a fan of nude lipsticks so if something doesn't look normal with my makeup, I through it on and feel better!
*You go back in time for a day to your teenage years, how would you do your hair and makeup differently?
Back in my teen years, I was lucky with my hair because my mom was a hairdresser.  But I was on my own for makeup. .. I'd say stop caking on the eyeliner...I looked like a raccoon.
*You ask your hairdresser for a shoulder length Pixie Lott hair cut, but they hear wrong and give you a pixi cut. Do you A. smile say thank you leave and call your mom hysterical B. Cry in the chair and things get awkward or C. complain to the manager and demand a refund?
I'd. ..cry to my mom..only because she's a hairstylist.  But at that point there's nothing you can do about it. As a hairstylist I'd embrace it and rock it.
*Your friend surprises you with a 4 day city break and you have 1 hour to pack. Which 'do it all' palette do you pack in your make-up bag?
My lorac pallet. For sure.
*Your house has been robbed, don't worry everyone is safe, but your beauty stash has been raided. What's the product you really hope is safe?
All my pallets..my naked 2&3, my lorac, and chocolate bar pallet...
*Your friend borrows your makeup and returns it in awful condition. Do you A. just pretend you haven't noticed B. ask them to repurchase it or C. secretly do the same thing to something of theirs
I would just pretend I didn't notice-some of my makeup is really expensive. .but I hate awkward situations. I mean I love all of my products but I can always buy another.

Hopefully this gave you ladies a little insight on how I'd handle these situations when it comes to the beauty world!

Look of the day!

Happy Tuesday Everyone!  So between yesterday and today, Wisconsin got its first snow storm of the year, and while I already fell once on the ice, I decides to take advantage of it. Yes, scarves and dark lips.

I just love the way dark red lips look in the winter against the snow. And I loved how my look just came together today.
So let's start with my outfit. .. you guessed it..my go-to look:
Black Cardigan-Target $20
               White loose under shirt-Target $6
               Leggings- Target $8
               Boot socks- Maurices $10
               Boots- Shopko $30
               Scarf-??
As I say in almost every look of the day, you can create your own spin on this outfit by using a different color scarf, or different under shirt. I'm a hairstylist so black and white are my main wardrobe!
